Lingualearn Homestay services

Lingualearn is able to offer the services of personal tutors for English and French, (German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic to be added shortly).  The tutors are all native speakers and experienced teachers of the target languages.  All tutors are able to offer tuition at their home. Some have a dedicated classroom and others use an office or other suitable room in their home.  We select our tutors very carefully.

There are no special materials, nor syllabi, for these courses, as clients usually come to their own arrangements with tutors as to what methods are used.  Some clients prefer to use a coursebook as support, others prefer a CD ROM or video course, and others will just have some conversation classes to maintain their skills acquired abroad or by other means.  Whatever method is used, we offer a high quality service, with the tuition carefully adapted to individual needs.

English in Southwick (near Brighton), England

Michael has a large house not far from the shops, station and sea in Southwick (near Brighton, Sussex). Southwick is a small quiet town about a 75 minute train ride from London. It is well situated for vists to Brighton, Worthing, the sea and South Downs.

Michael offers English courses all year round on a 1:1 or small group basis. He is an expert in English grammar, phonetics and language learning. His kind and thoughful approach allows students to progress rapidly under his expert guidance. He also has an excellent selection of teaching materials.

Prices (UK and FRANCE)

We can arrange lessons with homestay tutors for a minimum of 1week.  Tutors' fees vary in price according to their qualifications, experience and type of tuition required, but a ballpark figure for 1 week (4 hours per day for 5 days) would be £800 with a qualified native-speaker teacher.  This price would include high quality courses and materials, but not registration (£30), accomodation, meals or VAT.  The cost of tuition is slightly lower for longer courses (e.g. for 40+ hours), but slightly higher for couples, small groups and in large cities (e.g. central London). 

The cost of accomodation varies according to location and length of stay, but a good guide for the UK would be £500 to £800 per week for full-board and £400 to £700 per week for France.

Once our quotation is accepted, we'll send you an order form, an invoice for the course fee plus £30 registration, together with our terms and conditions of trade.
